does anyone else realise that we refer to things like cars and boats using pronouns like ‘she’ or ‘her’?

“She cost me half a million dollars!”I mean, we’re using female pronouns for OBJECTS.
My car is a boy. His name is Bernard.
I’m using a male pronoun for an OBJECT
